Point of view refers to the vantage point from which the story is told. There are three different possible points of view. 1. First-person point of view-A character in the story is telling the you see the words "I," "me," or "we," then the story is in the first-person point of view. Out of Africa is Isak Dinesen's memoir of her years in Africa, from to , on a four-thousand-acre coffee plantation in the hills near Nairobi. She had come to Kenya from Denmark with her husband, and when they separated she stayed on to manage the farm by herself, visited frequently by her lover, the big-game hunter Denys Finch-Hatton, for whom she would make up st4/5(K).

Summary Point of View Carver uses a first-person narrator to tell the story of “Cathedral” to emphasize the bewildering aspects of the transcendent moment that he relates in the story. The unnamed narrator is self-absorbed, concerned only with how the visit from Robert will affect him and dismissive of what role Robert may have played in. The novel is written in the first-person point of view from the perspective of the main character, Hazel Grace Lancaster. The point of view of this novel is intimate, allowing a reader to connect closely with the main character, Hazel. The book written in this manner allows the reader to get inside Hazel's head, thoughts and inner struggles.

I’d love it if an eBook came in two modes: 1) Designed by a designer (choice of typeface, position of page breaks, placement and style of page numbers, footnotes, etc.) and 2) a plain text version that the eBook reader can have it way with (increasing point size, choosing a font, etc.).

Point of View (or “POV,” as we’ll occasionally refer to it in this article) can be one of the most important choices you make for your novel or short story, long before you ever put your pen to the paper.
